Our Story

We’re Megan and Perry — partners in life for over 12 years and, more recently, partners in creating places we genuinely love to stay.

Our journey into hospitality started in 2017, we purchased our first duplex and spent three years house-hacking before moving into our own home. Perry managed the property and tenants hands-on for years, learning firsthand what it takes to maintain a home, communicate well, solve problems quickly, and treat a property like an investment worth protecting.

Today, we’re taking that experience in a new direction with Stay Amethyst, creating thoughtfully designed short-term stays in places we love to visit.

We’re travelers ourselves, and that heavily influences how we approach every property. We know the difference between a house that simply has everything you need and a place that makes you think, “This is exactly what we were looking for.” Comfortable spaces, thoughtful details, great amenities, local recommendations, and a home that feels intentional all matter.

Megan brings the eye for design and the details that make a space feel inviting. Perry brings the hands-on, operational side — from maintenance and logistics to making sure the little things work the way they should. Together, we obsess over the details so our guests don’t have to.

We’re also big believers that the best way to experience a destination is to get beyond the obvious. We love discovering great food, breweries, music, neighborhoods, and the local spots that give a place its personality. That’s why we put just as much thought into our local recommendations as we do into the homes themselves.

We’re building Stay Amethyst around a simple idea: create the kind of stay we’d want for ourselves.
